Congressional App Challenge launches partnership with UpBrainery Technologies

The partnership will serve more than 15,000 students around the U.S virtually and provide free STEM curriculum and resources

HOUSTON, TX, June 17, 2021 -- Congressional App Challenge, an official initiative of the U.S. House of Representatives, is excited to announce they have signed an exclusive partnership with UpBrainery Technologies to provide free educational resources to students. In collaboration with UpBrainery Technologies, an online educational A.I. based platform, the Congressional App Challenge plans to engage students’ creativity and encourage their participation in the STEM education field. 2021 program starts on June 24, 2021 and ends on November 1, 2021.

UpBrainery Technologies expects the virtual program will serve more than 15,000students around the U.S and provide them with free curriculum and resources to learn mobile app development. This free program is open to middle and high-schoolers without any requirement of computer science experience or background - breaking down barriers for highest-need students to participate independently or with support from teachers.

Utilizing UpBrainery Technologies’ education platform and curriculum, middle and high school students will be participating in district wide Congressional App Challenges hosted by members of the U.S. House of Representative, thereby encouraging them to learn to code and inspiring them to pursue a career in STEM.

As a first generation college student, I first hand saw how the access to quality programs can shape the narrative for not only the student but generations to come. We are thrilled to partner with the Congressional App Challenge, and empower students across the United States to leverage the power of technology to explore ideas, build apps and solve problems,” said UpBrainery cofounder Vernee Hines.

Together, the Congressional App Challenge and UpBrainery aim to increase engagement and familiarity with coding among U.S. middle school and high school students. Students are strongly encouraged to register their intent to participate in the Congressional App Challenge by August 1. More details are available here: http://www.congressionalappchallenge.us
